Terms and Conditions.

By commencing your tuition with me, you are agreeing to the following terms:

In the event that you have booked a lesson which you are unable to attend (due to illness or for any other reason), you must let me know as soon as possible (ideally 24 hours) beforehand. Failure to do so could result in you losing your prepaid lesson fee for that session. Likewise, if I cannot meet a scheduled appointment (for any reason other than vehicle fault or breakdown), you will be told at the earliest opportunity. Should this be the case, your prepaid fee for any missed lesson/s will be refunded, or your lesson/s rescheduled.

Although the tuition vehicle is well maintained, breakdowns, punctures and blown bulbs may occur from time to time. If such a situation leads to your suffering financial loss, I cannot be held liable. However, should a breakdown (or any other vehicle defect) occur during a practical lesson, the lesson will usually be terminated, and you will be offered another lesson at a later date free of charge, or a refund for that lesson. I will inspect the vehicle before the pre-test lesson, to determine that it is fit for the purpose of the Practical Driving Test. Should any defect subsequently occur during the pre-test lesson (such as blown light bulb, puncture etc) which is subsequently highlighted by a Driving Examiner (meaning that the vehicle is deemed unacceptable for the purpose of the driving test and the driving test fee is lost), then no liability will be accepted by me, and no refund will be offered to you. You are responsible for ensuring that relevant documents are kept safe, and that you bring the correct documents to your lessons/test. If any lesson/test is refused to you because you don't have the correct documentation, then I will not be liable for any loss incurred to you.

I will inform you when I believe that your driving is of a safe standard, sufficient to give you every chance of passing the practical driving test. If you book any practical test prior to reaching this standard, you will not be able to use the tuition vehicle for the purpose of the test. Passing of the test is not a 'given', and even the most highly-skilled pupil may suffer a fail. I cannot and will not guarantee that you will pass any practical driving test, but merely that I will prepare you as best as possible for the test. Should you fail a practical driving test, no refund or monetary compensation will be offered.

Aggression of any form (verbal, physical or otherwise) is not tolerated, and any aggressive behaviour displayed by the pupil towards either instructor, other road users, or any employee of the DVSA or any tuition car passenger could result in the lesson/test being terminated. Any fees paid by the pupil for such a lesson/test will not, in such cases, be refunded.

Any driving lesson vouchers presented to or bought from me can only be used to pay for driving lessons, and have no cash redemption value.
